Training

All practical and Biblical training should ultimately be directed to fulfilling the Great Commission: to making disciples who obey everything Jesus commands (Matthew 28:19).

Meeting this objective is comprised of at least three levels of training:

  1. Developing a lifestyle that reflects the character, principles, priorities and servant attitude of Christ: "Be imitators of me, as I'm of Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1).
  2. Providing practical opportunities for the development and use of spiritual gifts within the church: "For the perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12).
  3. Equipping with the necessary resources to ensure the accuracy and continuity of Biblical teaching: "What you heard from me among many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also" (2 Timothy 2:2).

Year-round activities:

It is for the reasons above that the IPCF includes the following activities on its agenda:

  • Discipleship programs
  • Outreach activities
  • Seminars and conferences
  • Systematic Bible studies
  • Study materials
  • Ministerial training

Each of these activities is open to all church members. If they so wish they may participate in a three-tier training program called "From Discipleship to Leadership, Through Service" designed to continue until the individuals involved who have received a specific call from the Lord are ready to be appointed as leaders for the church (see chart below).
